Counterpart Brewing (Niagara Falls, ON) X Badlands Brewing Company (Caledon, ON)

After brewing up a TIPA together for their second anniversary Counterpart thought it'd be cool to get the crew from Badlands back out there to brew up another big, hazy, hoppy anniversary beer for this year's festivities. They agreed and Distorted Dreams was born. The two built a big old DIPA base beer before employing both mash hopping and fermenting with a thiolized yeast strain in order to generate maximum thiols and push maximum fruit character. Then they dry hopped it with an absurd amount of the best hops they could get their hands on, Riwaka and Nectaron. The result is something truly unique and everything they love about double IPAs.
