Fogorig Brewing (Campbellford, ON)

Brewed with a boatload of oats and backed by a bit of wheat, this opaque and opulent, tropical fruit bomb is super soft and smooth. Fogorig elected to dial down the residual sugars on this batch to make it a bit more sessionable without sacrificing too much in terms of texture. It’s full bodied but not flabby, round and just really really good. On the nose you'll get ruby red grapefruit juice and flesh, lime zest, mango, peach, pineapple, and papaya, with supporting notes of gooseberry, vanilla, and that undeniable NZ spice character. On the tongue you'll get a semisweet creaminess that satiates. Notes of mixed citrus peels (lemon, lime, orange, and grapefruit), papaya, passionfruit, and pine, fresh cut grass clippings and a sticky resinous finish.
