Godspeed Brewery (Toronto, ON)

KEKKON 結婚 (meaning "Wedding" in Japanese) is near and dear to Godspeed's brewmaster's heart. The recipe was first brewed for his wedding in Japan seven years ago - 100 bottles were created as a parting gift for their guests. It's now brewed to commemorate Luc and Eri's anniversary, hence why this Sour Wheat Ale w. Raspberries also gets called a "Wedding Anniversary Ale." Aside from its origin story, Kekkon is a refreshing, fruit-forward sour beer with a rounded texture. Pouring an invirting rosé colour topped with a mountain cap of pearly white foam, Kekkon features notes of jammy raspberry and wildflowers with a balanced acidity and dryness in the finish.
