As far as Willibald can tell, When Pigs Fly is essentially the first of it's kind: A fortified beer. They blended some whisky aged 5 years in some ex-stout casks into one of their favourite stout recipes. ⁠The result? A BIG stout with super classic dark chocolate notes and a rich velvety texture that works with the whisky to temper the heat of the alcohol, while still being pretty assertive.
